Will of Richard BASKERFIELD ???? - 1671
Wednesday, 17 August 2011 11:58 pm.
Richard Baskerfield is in my opinion a strong candidate to be the father of William Baskerfield, Husbandman of North Crawley who was 8g-grandfather to my children.
(Two Baskerfield wills of North Crawley each name a William as the oldest son: that of Thomas Baskerfield, Husbandman dated 1655 and that of Richard, shown below, dated 1669/70. William the son of Thomas was apprenticed to a Plumber in London, while William the son of Richard inherited the tools of “my employments of husbandry”.)
I have made a reasonable attempt to preserve the original spelling of the will, but my main concern was simply to have a more accessible record of the contents.
