Edward Kibby is a potential ancestor; I haven't yet found the one or two generations who may link him to my 4g-grandfather, William Kibby (approx 1759 - 1826).

In the name of God Amen this ninth day of May Ano Dom 1712 I Edward Kibby of North Gorley within the parish of ffordingbridge in the County of Southton Yeoman being of sound and perfect mind and memory thanks be to God for the same do make and ordaine this my last will and testament in manner and forme following:

ffirst I recommend my soule unto Almighty God my maker trusting in and through the xxxxx death and passion of Jesus Christ my Saviour to obtaine full pardon of all my Sins and my body I commit to the Earth to be decently buryed at the discretion of my wife Joan and xxxxxx xxxxx afternamed and as for xxxx temporal Estate as it hath pleased god to bless me withal I bestow as followeth viz

Item I give and bequeath unto my wife Jone fforty shillings current mony of Great Brittaine to be paid unto her for her subsistence out of the Incombe of my Coppyhold living till the same shall come unto her

Item I give unto my son Edwarde Kibby twenty shillings current mony to be paid unto him by my executors within twelve months after my decease

Item I give unto my son-in-law Robert Over one shilling

Item I give unto my sone Edward Kibby all my wearing apparrel

Item I give unto my grandaughter Elizabeth Kibby daughter of my son Edwarde Kibby all my meadow ground in Harbridge mead dureing the time of the lease neverthelesse my son Edwarde Kibby shall have the Incombe and product thereof to his own proper use during her minority.

Item I give to my grandson William Kibby one shilling and one half acre of arrable ground lying in Gorely field

Item I give all the rest of my goods and chattels already ungiven of what kind or quality soever after my debts legacies and funerall expencies are first paid and discharge I give and bequeath to my said grandaughter Elizabeth whom I do also make and appoynt full and sole Executrix of this my last will and testament

And I do appoynt William Wing the Elder of Gorely and Daniel Blachford of the same trustees of this my last will and testament and I give them two shillings and six pence apeice for their pains

Revoking and hereby annulling and making void all former wills by me heretofore made I do publishe and declare this to be my last will and testament

In testimony hereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and year first above written
